This year, World AIDS Day (the 1st December) falls on a Saturday. We have again kindly had permission from York Minster to fly the Red Ribbon Flag from the Minster and to display the NorthYorkshire AIDS Memorial Quilt inside York Minster.

The Flag will fly on Saturday 1st December; however, the Minster will be closed to the public from 11 am on Saturday 1st December because a new Dean is being installed, so time will be limited for visitors to see the Quilt or sign the Memorial Book…..we have been given permission to leave the quilt in the Minster on Sunday 2nd December, so I hope this helps anyone wishing to visit.

Whilst we are busy during World AIDS Day giving out Red Ribbons and helping to raise public awareness, we are also aware that it can also be a very emotional time for people living with and affected by HIV – please do not hesitate to call us if you would  like to talk.
